I have all compatible parts and i tried putting it together, but the power supply is turning on but nothing else. Ideas?! I used a static-resistant bracelet and grounded myself when i touched anything.

Any tips or Ideas!? I'm so lost now.

1) Check the Power Suply have a on/off switch on the back.
2) Check the Power Supply for the 220/110 switch on the back.
3) Did you connect the 4/8 pin Power plug near the CPU.
4) Check and see if you put the Floppy drive cable backwards.
5) Check if you installed the system panel connector properly( reset switch, power button, hdd LED)
6) Check if the clear CMOS jumper is set to clear.

Just some ideas.

Please don't start panicking. You are a first time builder and it's most likely your inexperience here. Sure, your MB could be bad. It does not mean that you ruined it. They come that way.

What motherboard do you have?

Is it connected to a case speaker, or does it have a header that says "chassis speaker"?
