Hi guys, need some advice. Came home this evening and went to turn on my pc but not a lot happened. Fans and lights come on but nothing else. Checked the screen and its fine. So i turned it on and left it long enough to get to the windows login screen, tried pressing the caps lock key and that didnt work, so i assumed it wasn't even getting to windows. Tried a different hard drive, that didnt work. I'm assuming that this is a motherboard or psu issue since i dont even see the bit at the start before windows would load. Any info would be great, thanks in advance.

Try another PSU.

Foxconn motherboards (the made the ipod and iphone on on a side note) have a history of dying for no reason.

I've got a spare psu from my older pc, though not sure what the wattage is on it, probably a 300. I'll see if I can try that, failing that i'll bring it my mates at the weekend. Thanks for the response
