Hi i just got a new e2180 and a new foxconn motherboard with 2gb ddr2 800, and i want to overclock. whenever i overclock tho i actually underclock it becuase i cant find out how to change the multiplyer, it stays at 6! does anybody know a good third party overclock software that will let me change the mulitplyer, or guide me how to change it in bios. Remeber though, there is no clear option in bios for me to change the multi.

You cant change the multiplier higher than the default which is 10. You can make it 9, 8, 7 or even 6 but not 11, 12 etc.

The reason why your multi changes is because of Speed Step and EIST. Disable those on BIOS and you will not have that problem.
Also keep Virtualization disabled and all those other CPU stuff. I only keep Execute Disable enabled.

Hope that helps.

never use overclocking software to overclock with the exception of rivatuner for graphic cards.

If you cant change it from 6 to 10 in the Bios, your junk motherboard needs a bios update. If its 6 in CPU-Z you need to read some OC stickies before you jump into something you know nothing about.

clay, the multiplier is locked... upwards anyways. You will have to increase the system bus.
