hi all :hello:

i wonder if any one can give me some advice with my pc ?..........

basicaslly atm i am running:

gigabyte n680sli-dq6
xpert vision 8800gt x2 SLI
Acase twin engine tower http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews [...] TwinEngine
ezcool 1050w psu
i9ntel core2 duo e6600

now, sitting next to me is a brand new:

gigabyte x48-ds5
gigabyte hd4870

now on to my question... i dont know wether to keep my current system and sell the new bits on or install the new bits together with another giga, 4870 to enable xfire, as you can tell im not to much of a geek when it comes to specs so which system would you go for and why ??....

I would say that it depends more on what you want to use it for. If you are not having any issues with performance now then changing to the new parts is not going to help much or at all.

Look at it this way. Your PSU is and will be overkill, your current MOBO and grpahics card will run just about any game currently on the market @ 1900x1200 and you CPU is still one of the fastest selling processors on the market.



Sell the new parts and wait for nehalem (or whatever its called). If you are going to take a big loss on the new parts then you might want to reconsider but otherwise you are creating a lot of work for yourself with little gain.
