Hello, I've got a problem that's driving me nuts (oh and sorry for my bad English, I don't type verry much in English).

I've build a PC but he (or she) doesn't post. The only thing that happens is that my cpufan starts to spin.

I used the following:

Gigabyte 8i945AE (This motherboard is used in an Acer Veriton 7800)
Intel Pentium duo E2180
2x Apacer 512MB - 667MHz (PC5300)
350Watt power supply


I've read many Topics about this problem but I didden't find a sollution.
I've read that some power supplies don't earth the case and that your LEDs need to be connected befor you can have a post...

I've tried many things like resetting the CMOS (with jumper and battery-removal),
rebuilding everything,
checking the connections, including the earth,
and other things I can't remember.


Can someone help me please? (and again my apologies for my English)

According to the Gigabyte site that MB doesn't support the E2180.
