For dual 4870X2 yeah a 900W PSU would be about the minimum you'd want. But I feel pretty sure 2x 4870X2 is going to bust your budget up pretty good.

I might stick with just one 4870 for now...I heard the 4870X2 that's coming runs way to hot...

If you're building a gaming rig you focus on frames per second in games. That's your target.

Paying 150$ more for a quad is not justified. You get the same fps from a dual core (e8400 rox for that). EP45 is a good value mobo.

I'd get 2 x 4870 and CF or wait for the 4870x2 although i don't like waiting usually.

Get the WD6400AAKS. It's almost as fast as a 10.000 rpm drive in some tests, costs 1/3 (89$), and has 640 GB compared to what you want(100gb). I doubt you don't have what to do with space in a gaming rig. With vista + your regular programs + Crysis you hit the 50 gb mark. And don't tell me you buy a new gaming rig to play 1 game at a time. I have a WD6400AAKS right now, which was recommended by AEVM and it is very sweet. Also let me tell you i filled 600GB of it in the 1st three days. And trust me you won't even realise how fast you'll fill it. Just remember games nowadays take 10-12 gb installed each. And i'm sure you will want to stock some music/movies/programs/etc...

DVD-rW get the Samsung 203N, it has lightscribe, and i've been a fan of Samsung drives for a couple of years now. My last samsung cd-rw has written over 1000 cd's and i've never had any problems with it.(no i'm not a pirate P i just like keeping everything stored )

For the lcd i found the LG 227-wf (22" ) to be a great value for gaming(300$). It has 0 input lag, no ghosting and panel is good quality for the money. I was gonna buy it but i preffered getting a desk-bender Sony Multiscan G520 21 incher (incredible display btw ) for the higher resolutions as it can go up to 3.1 million pixels

I added everything up and I'm looking at about 11-12,000 SEK which is like $1800-1,950 dollars which is sad but what are you going to do?

I'm selling my 2.5Ghz 4GB 256MB 8600M GT 320GB HD here for 9,000 and I bought it in the states for $900 so that will help.

Reason I'm going with 2GB is I usually have someone from my family come over here from the states and I figure they can pick up some ram and take with them so I can save some money... 4GB of that memory here costs 160 dollars if you convert it...In the states its like 60 bucks...Ridiculous!

It looks great, to be honest I don't think I would be able to recognize between more 22" when gaming if not really trying hard. Those differences mainly show in the tests. The picture is very good, nothing to complain about, colors are axactly how they should. There is a very little bleeding on the edges, but hey, show me a LCD for that money where isn't. Actually it is much smaller bleeding than on 225BW (which I had too). However I have one small problem, but that is not really caused by the LCD - I'm using it together with my notebook connected with the old analog RGB connector and the screen flickers a little bit when on 1680 x 1050 x 60 Hz . But that also happend on my previous onewhen using the old analog cable only. I also like the look of the LCD. The viewing angles are also quite good.

Case Keyboard Mouse and then I'm ready I think

I'd like to ask you why did you chose the
ASUS RAMPAGE FORMULA LGA 775 mobo. What's better on that one compared to others. I'm not saying that it is not good, I'm building a system as well and I don't know what mobo to choose.

I was recommended to buy it from a friend who reads a lot about mobo's...I don't really know much about it myself but I trust him.

At this point, I think that I'm going to confess a little ignorance and see if anyone reading this might offer some insight.

I've been using computers for years, mainly for games or office work, but I have never really seen much of a difference between computer keyboards and cmoputer mice. Yes, I know that there are all kinds of variants from "ergonomic" keyboards & mice to wireless to versions with all kinds of add-ons and gadgets. However, I don't think that I've ever played anything that couldn't be enjoyed with a simple standard keyboard and a wheel mouse.

True, I don't play much of the MMPORG, WoW-style games, and I understand that some of those keybaords with programmable macro keys can be a lot of help in those cases. However, since you never said what kind of games you're looking to focus on, I don't know how important that would be.

As such, unless you're looking for a wireless combo for some reason, I'd suggest sticking with a simple, bare bones keyboard & wheel mouse. Very cheap, but very replaceable and very easy to get.
