Im having trouble finding a LCD monitor that can do 100 hz refresh rate. It doesnt need to be at high resolutions either... im looking for one that does 100 on 800x600 because thats the res i game at. Also one that has a low response time, the lower the better. And preferably $250 or less, i dont really care about size all that much.

LCD are limited to 60 hz and when nothing is happening on the screen the refresh rate is 0hz. Any lcd will do cause they all now have low refresh rate. LCD are different from CRT dude you dont need 100hz and besides 82hz on a crt is enuff. |

Correct! The only screens that I know that are higher are the High end HDTV with 120hz. But do you really want to spend 2000.00+ for 50" screen?

You can get 75Hz LCD panels, but you can not get 100Hz LCD panels. you can get weird 120Hz TV panels, but they are really 60Hz panels with twice the LCD 'fun'.

"Refresh Rates" for CRT and LCD monitors do not mean the same thing. Your eye can see a difference from 60Hz to 100Hz? Hmm... guess you have better eyes than me. I don't see a difference from 60 to 75, let alone 100. --------------- EVGA nForce 680i SE SLI 122-CK-NF63 Motherboard - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.2 GHz - ZALMAN 9500A 92mm CPU Cooler - EVGA 8800GTS 512MB OC 766/2000 - G.SKILL 6GB DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 (2T) - Thermaltake Purepower 600W Power Supply - Vista Ultimate x64 |
