Hello, I need some advice from some computer gamers out there. This is my computer spec

c2d 6400 oced 3.2
2gig ram
8800 gts 320mb
Asus p5n-sli

Now my question is, is it better for me to purchase another geforce 8800 gts 320 or is it better for me to purchase a new graphic card? Thanks in advanced

Get a 4870, or just live with that still admirable 8800.

What games do you play/will be playing in the next 6 months?
What rez do you play in?
What country are you in? In some countries a 340 Mb 8800gts can be both expensive and hard to find.

well im sure it will be priced around like 150 or more considering it takes alot of many to make those and i believe they stopped production. i would go with the gtx 260 or ati 4870. 4870 is slightly better but i found a good deal on a oc evga gtx 260 for 245$ last wk so it seemed like a better deal

try to stay in single gpu wheneva possible, even if it costs little more.......single gpu don have scaling problems

Depends on the cost, your games and the resolution/settings you game at. Don't buy a second 320MB card expecting to play at 1920x1200 with 4xaa. But, a second GTS could offer a huge boost for ya in many games, and a nice way to go if priced right. I picked a second one up brand new many months ago for $88 no rebates.

I play on 1280x800 rez. no AA I just wanted to play crysis:warhead or farcry at a decent setting. Nothing too fancy. My current system runs crysis fine on medium setting but lags alot when I set it to high. I live in S.Korea and I can prolly get a geforce 8800 gts used for around $80 to $120. Oh and btw... should I get more ram? It seems like my 2gigs aint cutting it anymore. I run vista 32bit. Thanks in advanced

the top chart shows an almost 100% scaling, and if you look a little further down, at the 1680x1050 column, it is ABOVE 100% SCALING! i didnt know that was actually possible, lol.

I think your `lag` is mainly due to lack of video memory, games like Crysis need a lot of it and 320 Mb is n`t really enough at even medium settings.
I would not recommend sli (see the FAQ at the top of the Forum as for why).
At your resolution I`d suggest changing to an 512 Mb 8800 GT/GTS or, if money allows a HD4850, but first read the threads here on the HD4850, it has a few `issues` with cooling!

you should SLI that baby and OVERCLOCK it to the max! it will beats 4580 CF

WTF are you smoking? if he had the 512MB version, I would bite, but with the old g80 card, theres no way it can touch 4850 CF.

I agree with others here, in your current situation, I would grab an 8800GT/8800GTS-512 or a 4850 and enjoy.
