It doesnt look bad at all.
But I'd suggest $60 less motherboard and $60 more CPU = ASUS P5E Deluxe X48 and C2Q Q9450 2.66GHz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819115042

I agree about the motherboard and processor. Otherwise, it looks great. You could also step back the PSU, you don't need 750W for that build. 550W will more than do it.

If you want to overclock, think about getting a slightly better CPU cooler.

If you are not going to overclock Q9300 is ok. If you want to overclock- Q9300 is a poor choice. You don't need 1066 memory either.

Q6600 if money is an issue- otherwise Q9450.

Yeah, get different memory, I took advantage of the lower price it had before (it was $90) when i ordered mine. I would get the patriot or something for half the current price. For the hd, consider the:

not for size, but for speed. I just ordered this because of all the great reviews. It was way more space than i needed. Heck i was considering a 160 gb drive, but couldnt pass this one up. Also, Directron has it for like $5 less.

That mobo is discontinued i think. Try to find it on the asus website. lol. They still are supporting their x38 version though. weird. I went with gigabyte ga-x48-ds4 great reviews on this.

Look back over the posts of the last week or so on this board, there are a lot of good discussions of builds in this price range.
