More Information

OK I've been searching the net to determine if the entire 'crazy cool' assembly needs to be removed from the x48t mobo. According to 'madspec' over in the coolermaster forums (http://forum.coolermaster.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&p=83976), the TRUE does indeed fit onto this board as long as the back plate has been removed. In my case, the back plate wasn't already screwed onto the board so that should make life easier when I get around to assembling the computer.

One final thing to clarify though: I've ordered the OCZ pc3-12800 flexxlc ram which, for those of you who don't know, has a very large hs and water piping assembly. Any ideas if the ram will fit ok into the first dimm slot closest to the fan in the pic, or if the fan will fit on the other side of the TRUE (I suspect the crazy cool mosfet hs will get in the way as well).

The rest of my build:
*gigabyte ga-x48t-dq6
*ocz pc3-12800 flexxlc
*thermalright ultra-120 extreme and s-flex fan
*zalman 100w
*coolermaster stacker 831 se 'evo'
*sapphire radeon 4870x2 2gb
*2x wd 7200rpm 500gb
*q9450
*maybe a decent blu ray drive
*winfast hybrid hdtv pci
*netgear wireless pci card

Plan to watch and record hdtv on this computer as well as the gaming. I will be overclocking later on. Should I consider adding more hdd's?

Finally, I spent about a week glued to the net searching for decent lcd monitors - decided that I have enough money to spare for a 24 or 26" S-IPS panel. Seriously considering getting the doublesight 26" lcd imported to aus via the us company provantage. Does anyone have experience with this company??

Any other monitors that are considered worthy of gaming with minimal input lag??

Thanks.

Side note: who would have thought that THW would consider immersing a computer in 8 gallons of oil....quite amusing
