More Information

I recently upgraded my monitor to a Hanns-G 28", and my older Linksys KVM takes 3 to 8 seconds to switch. So I started shopping for a new KVM that can more easily handle the higher resolution.

I'm eyeballing the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817107457. But the reviews are really mixed about switching times. I game heavily on multiple machines ("boxing" ) and instantaneous switching is high priority.

My needs are:
DVI support
USB support (kbd & mouse, don't need a usb hub) that allows the use of programmable kbd's & mice
at least 4 ports, preferably 8... or 4 port'rs that will cascade
and of course super fast switching via hotkey(s) on the kbd.

I've done a lot of searching in the usual places, and there sure aren't many options. I'd love some feedback from people actually using something with the specs I described with gaming.

Thanks in advance.
