Just bought the dominator 2x2048 as an uprgrade. it says 2.1v on the box does this mean its the maximum voltage or the required one? my current memory module operates at 1.8v.Do i have to increase it to 2.1 for the dominator or would it also work at 1.8 ?

Thats what the ram needs to be set to in order to run at the specified timings (either 44412 or 55518 depending on which one you got). So yes you generally need to run it at that voltage. I have the dominators running at 2.0 at 44412 because its stable that way and makes a little less heat.

If you want to experiment you can try running it at less than 2.1v. However, that voltage is the required voltage to run at the rated speed and timings.
