More Information

I just recently got my full computer system from Ncix.com (i had them build and test it)

I have a visiontek HD4850, and GPU-Z says it's in the 16x Slot @ 8x Mode, catalyst says something about bus speeds. I really need your help i am at all very high 2xAA in crysis and i only get 10-20FPS. Toms Hardware review says i should be getting 30+FPS.

Specs:

Corsair TX650W
Corsair XMS2 4GB 800MHZ
E8400 @ 3.0GHZ
Asus P5K P35 Mobo
Visiontek HD4850
Coolmaster CM 690
Vista Home Premium 64bit
20 inch LG monitor (1680x1050)

I checked BIOS but i couldn't find anything about PCI-E slots. It is running at 60C right now so overheating/underclocking isn't the problem.

FYI: It IS in the Blue 16x slot, i checked.

My Motherboard: http://www.ncix.com/products/index [...] 95&vpn=P5K

Help would be greatly appreciated, i know nothing of more advanced programs since i upgraded from a P4 2.6GHZ, FX5200, 1GB DDR RAM...

I don't think the MB or catalyst drivers will install on the wrong OS (32 vs 64)?

Every time I have intentionally or accidentally attempted to install the wrong drivers, I have received an error on install.

I would guess its because your mb doesn't support pcie 2.0. So when it says the most you can support is 2.0x8 that probably equates to pcie 1.0x16 which is what your board supports.

^It should say 16x. It says PCIe x16 not PCIe 2.0 x16.

Have you checked the BIOS to make sure it is selected to run full x16.
