The price for this build is roughly 2k before rebates. Not really looking to spend any more money but with good enough support to suggestions I may. Tell me what you think.

Good choice on the case, I have it and love it but the only thing I don't like is that the side panels are very tough to put back on.

The processor is also a good choice, I got the same one for futureproofing and it's good for overclocking.

That's a good hard drive, but I would get an extra one at 7200rpm for storage.

Save yourself a lot of money on the RAM and get DDR2, DDR3 isn't worth the money it costs.

Everything else looks good, good chocie on the PSU brand that is going to be a nice computer and good luck!

i don't mind the side panels, they're a tad difficult at times but not bad enough to get a different case and i will eventually get a 7200 TB drive (probably the samsung spinpoint i believe its called)

and I can't get ddr2 because my mobo is ddr3 (they're not backwards compatible is my understandment)

Stop playing with that you will go Blind!

Get a X48 board that supports DDR2, You can get 4 Gig of DDR2 for less the 2 Gig of DDR3. Vista X64 would be useless with 2 Gig.

The ASUS P5E deluxe is just the Rampage Formula without the LCD Poster and the Buttons on board. It supports DDR2 and is $219. CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB DDR2-1066 is $136 (96 after rebate)

With the money you could get a 7200 RPM drive for DATA or another Raptor and RAID0 them.
