Curious.

Benchmarks in Crysis, COD4, Oblivion, Bioshock, etc, all how very substantial scaling at high resolutions, nearly double performance compared to a single 8800gt. Considering an 8800gt is only about $100 now, why would you claim they scale terribly? They're a fantastic bargain option and still outperforming a lot of newer cards.

Very best,

Heya,

Here's another question though, on the same topic:

Is it better to get a single really solid PSU, or would it be better to get a good PSU for the system and a separate one for the Videocards?

Very best,

doesnt matter no benefits or performace gains if u have more power.i perfer one psu for whole system less heat sound and better chance of one of the psu to die.

as for the psu 2 8800gt sli with the setup u have it wont require that much power 450w max probably even less. would recommend this.

Thanks for the replies guys but i got the Antec neopower 650 with modular cabling (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000SKQODE)

as far as the 8800gt's they're only $120 on newegg now so SLi for 240 is not bad.

and whats the word on the new cpu's? i have the upgrade bug.
