Good ol DDR Ram huh? For you there is only one option

http://www.mushkin.com/doc/product [...] asp?id=193

The best DDR Ram was the Mushkin Black Level II series, but they don't make it anymore. Yup, gotta love that 2-2-2-5 t1 timing. Well I did, untill they stoped making them and had to get a pair performance kingston RAM which lowered my timing to 2-3-2-6 T2 on the ol Athlon XP to get a total of 1.5GB. Yeah I should have gotten more than that one Mushkin 512. I thought I would be able to buy more latter, but I waited too long :( :(

If you want to overclock then look at the Muskin Redline series as well

2-2-2-5 timing is better than 2-3-2-6 right ? so the only reason i would change my 2x 512mb ram 2-2-2-5 is because i would reach a total of 2GB so double my ram capacity?

would the read/write speed of the new ram be that much lower? would I feel something slower going on in my system?
