For motherboard, x38 perform far better than 750i. For graphics, 4850 is around 15% faster than 8800gt. So the second combination is better.

Although, if you do go the sli route, consider a g92 8800gts for $119.99 after mir. At stock, it performs the same as 4850, runs cooler and overclocks better.

Lifetime warranty isn't useful, you won't be keeping the card for so long, those things get obsolete fast.

Other parts look good.

I have the same case except the full tower, its really nice, I would say go with the 750i but unless you're gonna go SLI right away you might have trouble finding 2 8800GT(s)'s later on.

OK I'll get 2 of those zotac 8800 g92's. Thats a stupid good price. I wanted to stay around $800 but I bet I can get the wifey to go for $900

Keep in mind that many mail-in rebates limit one per costumer. So you may need to use a friend's name, and possibly his/her address if you want to get the second $40 mail in rebate.

yeah thanks.

I know the 750i doesnt preform as good as a x38 BUT alot of ppl seem to be able to get a q6600 up to 3.6

I also wish i could find another $100 bucks so i could get vista 64 for dx10 and all my 4gigs

750i/780i can oc reliably up to 1600mhz fsb, which for q6600, is 3.6ghz. It's when used on higher ocing cpus, like e8400, or cpus with low multiplier, like q9300, that you run into fsb bottleneck.
