More Information

I will start off by saying: I love my 2.8e prescott.
Manic oc'd weirdos need not opinionate my 10 years with building and failing and successes..

I do have a noob question about dual cpu..
My vid encoding is a tragedy. faster than the past, but still a tragedy for even the biggest pc going today. I did learn a dual cpu can help most of the time. I basically targetted doubling a 1mb L2 cache cpu, with even regular DDR..no older than the prescott type design. (socket 604)
I just happen to fall on the 670 line of dell precision, going cheap, the big cpus are taking over the whole line of them. I found several bad comments about even a single core cpu beating the dell 670...
So, I am seeking someone who bought the machine. I do realize the eatx case is a good one for future, I have even found other boards to fit the standard.. Should I grab one? I do want one. power consumption not a concern.
Facts are quite difficult about true opinions and pro answers. Toms has always been good to me (almost always)
