hi guys
I bought my pc about 6 months ago

mb: asus p5b
cpu: q6600
ram: 2G patriot
Vga: MSI geforce 8800(512 mb)
H.D.D: maxtor 250G
and 450 w power

and since then it started to crash almost every day over and over.
it is with that blue screen saying some proccess failed...
after reboot my computer doesn't start because it can detect my HDD.I have to turnt it off and wait(and hope!) sometimes it works after a few minutes and sometimes it doesn't.then I replace my sata cable from one to another(I have no reason doing this) and then it works for a short period(maybe 1 hour) and then it crashs!and I do it all over again!!

I changed my HDD coz I tought that was the problem, but nothing changed.
My fans are working.
I have no viruses and I reinstall my windows xp sp2 every week!

Is it always the same process? Also, is your CPU overclocked? If not on both counts, I'd agree that it could be a bad PSU.

Mate its a bad PSU for sure . This generally happens when not enough power is being provided to the system.

How many amps on the 12v rail. With a system like this you would need a minimum of 32-35amps.
