Would an SLI-supported video card work on a non-SLI board?

Specifically:

GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

on a

ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX

I mean, I see the SLI slip is on the opposite side of where the card plugs into the slot, will it work if you plug nothing into the SLI slip?

If you mean single card, yes, it will work.

Yes, I don't plan on doing any "Crossfiring" or whatever it is called... Just the 1 card will be fine enough for me.... Thanks
