Hi guys, I have a problem, I had to reinstall windows vista from the dvd that came with my computer, it reinstalled fine but now it says that I only have a standard vga graphics adapter even though I have an nvidia 8600

... Umm... Then try downloading the latest official drivers from NVidia?

 Did you get Vista with the computer or was it a restore disc ? A restore disc would have put every thing back as it was when it came out of the box. If it came with standard adapter then that's what happened. The other option is that its running on a default driver that windows found when you re-installed or restored it.
 Either way as stridervm says its easy to fix just download the correct drivers from Nvidia.
