Americans favor news broadcast over YouTube citizen video news

Published on December 20, 2006

However in the 25 to 34 demographic, one out of four would watch citizen videos over regular broadcasts. Read more

Just found out after 2 weeks of troubleshooting that this card is my source of all my BSOD.

I was so for sure it was my Crucial ddr2 800 ballitstix memory or other things (seeing is a lot of other's have had problems with this memory on the same gigabyte board i have) but i finnally solved the problem by putting in my old bfg 7950 gt oc.

Only 1 thing left i have to do i guess before an RMA, put back in the 8800 and install the very very latest and greatest driver and hope it was just an driver issue. (but i thought i had a good nuff nvidia driver before. lol)

Well is it gonna be a nvidia driver or a faulty card?

My System:

Mobo= GIGABYTE GA-EP35C-DS3R
PSU= Enermax Liberty 500 watt
Graphics card= BFG 8800 Gts (g92)
Memory= Crucial Ballistix ddr2 800
CPU= e8400 Wolfdale
2x Wdigis HD's
DVD= a sony

1. The problems with the RAM incompatibility on the P35 Gigabyte boards are mainly with DDR2 1066 and not DDR2 800. Also did you increase RAM voltage?

2. What OS and drivers were you using?

What problems you're having ??
Uf you installed your old card and problems are gone then that's it
It's your new card
Now to isolate the problem update your driver first
Ensure proper card installation and cables connections
Ckeck if your card is getting sifficient power
Download and run HWMonitor_108 or GPU-Z to ckeck graphic card temps
Did you OC your card ??

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have to ask you: do you use speedfan? if so, can you lower CPU fan speed below 50%? How about for the rest of your case fans? (i'm interested in your particular mobo abilities)

Is it possible the older video card uses less power and thus the system seems to be ok... where as the newer card could be using more power and contributing to BSODs? I'm sure everyone else here is, but I'm not familiar with the brand of PSU the OP mentioned.

Unless you actually can load test your own power supples, you can't really be 100 percent sure, ever. Failing that, did you do a basic test or have it checked to make sure it is in spec ?
