So, if I remember correctly, when Blizzard released World of Warcraft, it had "the way it's meant to be played" slapped all over it.

I would guess that when the decision was made to use Havok Blizzard had all but given up on us all going out to buy a physics accelerator. I wouldn't exactly say they're on the red team considering Intel owns Havok's IP if I'm not mistaken. If anything they're on the blue team.

Blizzard is known to try and go the way to allow their games to be played on as many computers as possiable without seriously effecting the look of what they want. Blizzards Games are known to be polished and well done.

I don't care if it uses virgin blood sacrifices as long as it comes out.... I can die a happy man once I complete Diablo 3 (as a nice bonus it would be awesome to get in on the Beta...)

It definately has to do with Havok being able to run on cpu. Blizzard is trying to not damage their brand. The name "Diablo" is far too valuable. --------------- Q6600@3.6ghz, GA-EX38-DS4 X38 chipset motherboard, 8gb 800mhz ddr2 4-3-3-12, 8800GTS(g92)@780mhz, 1TB 7200rpm 32mb cache hdd, 850watt 12v rails=4x20amp powersupply |

Never played Diablo. Going to get it with StarCraft 2. I'm really looking forward to a WarCraft 4 if they ever decide to release one. I'm still playing WarCraft 3 with an 8800GT. WarCraft 3 is so old, it doesn't natively support AA or AF. I just enable it in Nvidia Control Center, 8xQ AA FTW. |

Speaking of WoW when is the next EXP pack coming out?
--------------- Robert Wilensky: We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the Internet, we know this is not true. |

Ovaltine, why so harsh and negative? But yes, Havoc is currently run on the CPU, which will allow Blizzard to have their game (and its effects) run on as many computers as possible.

Ok, I didn't know Havok FX was cancelled. Sorry for that. |
