I've been looking for a week and every reputable place is out of stock on 4870s :/

Does anyone know where there might be an Asus?

I've checked:
NewEgg
Fry's Electronics
Google Shopping
and Most of the partners listed on Asus's 'where to buy' link.

Thanks!

if we dont see the 4870's on tues the 1st or mabey even a day before (monday) there could possibly be a tech problem with them ? I'm also sure that AMD is not to happy on how the 4850's are moving off the shelfs either , well we will see , if the stall keeps up I'll be buying the 4870x2 !

I actually haven't seen an ASUS card listed yet. Look for stocks to come back in tomorrow (30th). Some other sites that has 4870s are Tigerdirect, Ewiz, and FXvideocards.

Lagoom carries ASUS 4850s so I would assume that when 4870s roll in they will probably carry ASUS. I have used a site called Moogr that uses the same warehouses as Lagoom and everything arrived ok.

Hmmm, the link I posted above doesn't let you add it to the cart anymore, but if you search for the 4870 on NewEgg.com and choose HIS from the results it will...

PowerColor brand is available now too from the search results.

Don't mean to be a hawker, but I'll have two HIS arriving today I'm planning on putting up on the Bay for $290+shipping, but would happier if a forumer got them.

I coincidentally just got a 30" Dell, so have decided to hold of for the 1gb version or X2. PM me if interested.

I got mine from zipzoomfly, but not sure when they'll be back in stock.

I love all of the people making lame @ss reviews on newegg. "Pros: All ive read says its a good card just waiting for some to be in stock so I can get mine" Nice dude, that is helpful.

Oops, Newegg Sapphires are in.

It's gonna be like this for a while. Big new shiney card, lot's of interest, limited supply, un optimized drivers. I can wait till my next full build which will likely be an AM-3 next year. For the time being my 3870 will do just fine.

This may seem like a silly question...will the 4870 X2 be able to run on mobos that use a Nvidia's chip set/ SLI boards?

yes, as it uses one slot. if you were to CFx that, that would not work.
