I currently have a AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+ Windsor core at default clock (2.21GHz). I'm thinking about upgrading to the AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000 or 6400+ Is this wroth the money/per performance? I know, obviously, the the performance will increase a good amount, but is it wroth it?

Also, what's the difference between Brisbane and Windsor besides Brisbane clocking slower?

What do you guys think of getting a $80 5000+ Black Edition with a good $40 fan/heatsink and overclocking it? This would save me $40 and how would the performance compare?

Will the performance increase be worth it? It depends what you primarily do on your computer. Gaming (most likely yes), word processing (almost definitely no), video editing, internet...?

Perhaps these reviews, which all feature an X2 4200+ and an X2 6***+, will help you decide if the upgrade is worth your money:

Oh and the differences between Windsor and Brisbane...this might be the easiest way to explain it...(nice chart near the bottom)
