My computer crashed during a game and when rebooted, it nows displays a black 1" border stripe around the entire circumference. went through monitor display configuration and graphics card config with all settings at native resolution of 1920x1200, 32 bit, 60 hz normal settings. Downloaded ATI newest drivers to no avail. Thanks for any guidance you may have. Never a problem before on this monitor.

Try another monitor just to see if the monitor has bitten the dust.

check to make sure that the overscan setting in the catalyst control centre hasn't been changed, I have seen that problem before with my one monitor connected via HDMI

Look under scaling options - set scaling to 0% (Overscan end of the scale)

rgsaunders - thanks much! Your advice worked to a T. Overscan was set to midpoint on Catalyst Center. Canada rocks!
