I'm planning to run an Athlon x2 5400+, Asus M2a-vm, 4 gigs of corsair ddr2-800, one hard disk and a 8800gts g92 video card with a couple of optical drives, Would a logisys 575w psu be enough for my power needs ? :o

Logisys makes very poor quality power supplies that often will not deliver the power they are rated at. I have never seen a reliable review that gave them anything but a failing grade. You would be much better off to get a quality unit with a better warranty that will actually deliver reliable power to your system. Here's a couple of suggestions for your rig in no particular order.
Corsair 450w- $60 after rebate

Antec Earthwatts 430w- $30 after rebate

OCZ StealthStream 500w- $35 after rebate

PC Power and Cooling 420w- $70

And one more thing, the warranty thing wont count as i'm planning to get this through a friend, so juz need a power supply that won't blow up in smoke ......
