Hi there,
Yesterday when I went to bed it started thundering, so what I did was plug out my power cable, (This might be the problem)
Today, (I'm writing this from another computer) I start up my computer and I see my numlock light on, the second it starts to load windows, the numlock light goes off, no problem right? but when I enter windows my keyboard just doesn't work anymore, I tried to reboot several times, and for some reason my other USB-ports do work,

My webcam is working in an USB port, and when i unplug my webcam and put my keyboard in it, it suddenly doesn't work anymore. i'm completely out of solutions so maybe you guys can help me!
(I've t hought about reinstalling OS but it's such a pain!

Thanks!!!

My mouse occasionally does it, sounds obvious but have you tried unplugging it and reconnecting it with the PC on?

It may be OS. Enable USB 2.0 keyboards and mouses in BIOS to be sure. Update drivers for MB, you may have bad USB ports. On my Dell laptop, some USB ports don't work sometimes. It's weird, but with a bit of luck you can fix this.

as someone already suggested to you make sure that native USB support for your mouse and keyboard are enabled.

Just because your USB ports work does not mean that native support for your USB keyboard and mouse are enabled in the BIOS.

In fact, many BIOS's have these features disabled by default.

Yes, that didn't work either, but I haven't rebooted when I plugged it in so I'm not sure
