it still has decent coolings as it appears on the top 10 of most cooling benchmarks, there are other better ones for the same or cheaper price. the 9700 cnps is also pretti audibly noticeable when the fan is set at max. i usually play games with my headphones on, but when i have it off, there is a difference between the lower levels and max settings. i'm running all scythe fans in my case so the 9700 is the loudest fan i have :T
