Okay, i am building a "budget" gaming PC.....I am looking into this case:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811121032

I am looking to buy it in the next 30 minutes...Quick replys would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I was wondering...would this case + power supply fit for this rig:

Motherboard + CPU: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applica [...] CatId=2621

Video Card: 9600 GT

So, is this powersupply compatible with those components?

Thanks in advanced!

I have heard that the 6000+ is fairly power hungry.

I personally have the 5600+, less power hungry, still quite a good processor and possibly slightly cheaper, but that is a killer deal for motherboard + cpu

you could get the CM 690, the power supply will be fine, im running 5600+, 8800gt, 3gb ram, 1 500gb hdd, and standard stuff, with a 550w psu

just so u know you will need a good HSf combination, b/c the oem CPU does not come with one.

Not to mention Tigerdirect does not honor returns if the combination is bad, unless you also have purchased a hsf on the same receipt.

ouch...

well first of all a HSF, means HeatSink/Fan combination. Usually talking about the CPU, That combo does not comes with a HSF b/c the CPU is an OEM, meaning just the CPU itself.

why don't you try this combination out?

GIGABYTE GA-EP43-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale 2.53GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Retail

together it will come out to 230 already higher than what you originally wanted to spend, but worth it in every manner conceivable.

instead of that HEC & PSU combination case try this one:

Antec NSK4480B Black 0.8mm cold-rolled steel construction ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 380W Power Supply - Retail

Now with S&H it is easily $110-ish, which is much higher but the level of quality is much much better.

Which ultimately brings me to my next point, exactly how many parts do you need to buy, and what are you reusing? [I ask this b/c the more items you buy form newegg the S&H price goes down, so theoretically speaking it is cheaper to try and find all your parts in one place]

B/c spending a little more know for higher quality parts, will pay dividends, in terms of you will have a machine that will last longer, and you will be less likely to have to replace parts/upgrade especially if you know where you want to go with this build.

So that brings me to my next question, what do you want out of this machine, like what will you be doing with it primarily, gaming, word processing, surfing the web, encoding audio/video, photoshop, the more details you can give me will allow me to further recommend parts that you may want to consider in this next build.
