Hello

I have this setup:
Q9450
ASUS P5Q
4 x 2 gb Corsair Twin2x4096-6400C5
8800 GT

The computer wont boot with all 4 x 2 gb ram. Only with 2 x 2 gb in the B1 and B2 dimm. It wont work in A1 and A2 dimm.

All settings in the bios is "auto". How should I set up the bios in order for this to work? Or will it work at all?

It should, but some mobos are picky about ram & config. You can try, but you're not guarranteed. Put the ram in bootable slots, up vdimm to specs (google) voltage, switch the ram channels after.

Thanks for answering so quickly - but I´ve already tried that. When I switch back or puts in all the ram i fails to boot.

Have you got other suggestions?

check power cables

Yes I have done that. You see, it runs with the ram sticks in channel B but not A. That is not caused by the power cables, is it?
