The mobo that I wish to buy supports memory only up to 800mhz, but I wanted to get myself some 1000mhz ones. Is there a very noticeable difference between the speeds on them?

No,even if the motherboard that u have choosed supported DDR2 1066 i wouldn't recommend it. Because the difference between DDR2 800 and DDR2 1066 isn't much and DDR2 800 OCs very well too.
Go for a DDR2 800 RAM with 4-4-4-x or lower timings and u will be fine :)

Nope.
As Maziar states, you will see no improvements going from DDR2 800.

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce today would cost $100, get a million miles to the gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.
