I’m buying my new mobo tomorrow. I want to OC. I might be doing SLi, I will not go to an ATi/Intel board so don’t recommend it.

680i?

Or the 750i FTW?

I like both boards but would prefer the 750 for its overclockability, however the video corruption has scared me away from it a little bit.

I like the 680 for its tri-SLi feature, which even though I would never use it would be cool none the less. Also for its dual RJ-45 ports. However it only supports up to the wolfdale CPUs and for those it needs a BIOS update. So I am thinking if nvidia will stop supporting the 680 soon when new CPUs come out. (FYI I have an E6750 so this would work for me atm)

I want one that will last me for a while, meaning at least a year and a half hopefully longer. I want one that OCs really good so I can take my E6750 to above 3.4 GHz.

So which one should I get? Chance it with the 750 or get the 680? (I am assuming the probs with the 680 are gone for the most part)

My current setup is
E6750
EVGA 8800GT with akimbo cooler and SSC (700 MHz) bios flash
MSI P35-Neo F
Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-800
2 160 GB Seagate barracudas

I am leanign toward a 750i atm but I want your guys's opinions

680i is horrible for overclocking, and has memory compatibility problems. Get either 750i or 780i. 780i oc as well as p35. It's certainly not on par with current generation Intel chipsets, but is enough for moderate oc on most cpus, including e6750.
