Hey,

I'm looking for a mobo that has the X48 chipset. Currently, I have my eyes set upon this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131284

Are there any better alternatives? Any other recommendations? I plan to overclock my E3110 to about 4GHZ, so the board needs to have a high FSB and be a good overclocker :)

The P5E Deluxe is the Rampage Formula minus the LCD Poster and, CLR CMOS, Reset, Power buttons. For 291 On the Egg right now.

I have the X3350 at 3.6 (450X8) and I love the Rampage Formula. The Northbridge runs hot, Change the thermal compound on the Northbridge and Southbridge.

The rampage formula is able to get over 450 fsb with a quad, so it should be fine with the E3110.

1haplo...just got the P5E Deluxe today and have a real noob question...did you have any issues removing the NB/SB Heatpipe screws? Also did you end up snip them off and replacing with something like nylon screws?

Again sorry for the noob question but building my first system entirely from scratch and it seems to me that replacing the TIM on those areas is just good insurance, even if I'm not planning on being a heavy overclocker like most on this forum.

Any advice appreciated?
