Alright, a number of times I have a problems with my DVD drive loading in windows. Somehow a few times it has worked with the sound card on this motherboard but normally for it to work, I need to remove the onboard sound card from the device manager in XP 32bit.

Then it works. If again the sound card in detected and installed I lose the lose of the DVD drive again with it stuttering the system. The dvd drive itself is a UJ-8465, always on the master channel (currently primary) with a realtek sound card with the latest drivers.

Disable OnCD or something that sticks to the notification bar. Or uninstall nero & use another one like ashampoo.

I have tried that but it hasn't worked, I can get it to boot off the DVD but if I boot into windows it will hang until the dvd is removed from the drive.
