More Information

Okay here's my issue. I have a Asus A7n-8 mother board. Was working fine, then decide not to boot. When I press the power button, the computer powered up, hdd lite was on, fans on, ect., but the screen was black. I pulled the battery and reset the CMOS. This time the system booted past the POST check and gave a CMOS checksum error. From here I can either boot windows (F1 to continue), or try to configure the BIOS (update the date, time, ect.) If I boot windows, I can run it until I have to reboot, or shut the computer down. If I try to power the computer back up, I get the same black screen. Likewise, if I configure the bios (update the date, time, ect), save and reboot I get the same black screen. I've pulled everything down the the basics (memory, video card, cpu) and still get the same effect. Replacing the battery with new does nothing. Seems the only way I can run my PC right now is when I reset the CMOS and run at the default setting for 1 session. Any ideas?
