If anyone is looking at the AMD 780G MB's and also has a 125W 6000+ CPU, I can heartily recommend this offering from ECS ( A780GM-A ).

My 6000+ normall clocks at 3.0 GHz and I had no trouble knocking it to 3.3 GHz and an extra .1 volts stable using this MB. However, I did find that although 3.3 held well in desktop applications, it tended to blue screen in games. I pushed it back down to 3.25 and that solved the problem.

This board is also good for overclocking your ram as you can adjust timings and voltage - however, for the life of me, I still don't see the benefit of overclocking ram in gaming. If I push it too far, the games actually slow down. So, considering by overclocking your ram, you risk frying it, I recommend you just leave it at stock settings (with this mb anyway).

Anyway, this Black Edition ATX board is very nice looking, easy to set up and has tons of features.

Best part of all? IT'S CHEAP!

I picked this up at TigerDirect for like $75 USD. Really amazing IMHO. This board also comes as a GeForce 8200, but it costs about $15 more.

I got this board too. But I didn't get any improvement on the performence compare with my old board 'GeForce 6100'. I bought this board is because it can run 2600MHz FBS. However I checked system by 'Crystalmark', the score even lower than 'GeForce 6100'. Now my system is A780GM MB/6000+CPU/4GB(4-4-4-15)RAM/ATI1650VGA. Do you know what the problem it has? I may return it if I can find the solution. Please help.

The increased FSB is ONLY if you are running a Phenom Processor. The FSB on the 6000+ maxes out at 1000. If you are planninbg to eventually go Phenom, you'll see a big difference.

Also, the 780G Northbridge provides better HD support if you even care about that.

But AMD website [http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUFilter.aspx] showing FSB of 6000+ is 2000MHz.

Why the max. is 1000MHz. Should I stay use the old board 6100 if I am not very care the NB advantage?

Hi, maybe you guys can help me out please..

I tried installing a Sapphire HD3650, but everytime I do, the comp dies out. It usually dies out when vista/xp (i tried reinstalling both os) loads. Now I don't even see the POST. Is there settings in the BIOS I need to change and what?

Other than this issue, the mobo has been good...really like the layout..
