I´m having problems upgrading to USB 2.0, WIN xp pro sp 2 and my motherboard supports USB 2.0 (msi k8mm-v) yet every time i connect an usbmemory it says: this device could work faster... ?????

1) The USB drive is not USB 2.0
2) The port you plugged it into is not USB 2.0 (most keyboard mounted USB ports are 1.1).

I find it very hard to believe that the USB drivers that came with the mobo are the problem. It is considerably more likely that he has a USB 1.1 memory stick. Not to mention, any hardware updates "should" have been pushed by MS during the updates. Of course you know how that goes.
