Does anyone know when/if a 9800 GT will hit? I want one :D. Seeing that the GX2 just came out, I'm curious to know.

After jumping over the 9800 GX2 and dodging the 9800 GTX the graphics market should arrive to a small green house that belongs to another G92-powered model, the GeForce 9800 GT. Although we already talked about its release, it is only now that the first salty ('unconfirmed') data about the actual specifications of the GeForce 9800 GT have appeared online.

The 9800 GT is said to be your 'average' 8800 update with a G92-XXX core clocked at 650 MHz, 112 Stream Processors set to 1625 MHz and 512MB of GDDR3 memory at 2000 MHz. In addition to combining the 8800 GTS 512's clocks and the 8800 GT's SP number, the 9800 GT is also set to feature triple-SLI, DirectX 10 support and a dual-slot cooler. Expected to be released on April 3rd, the GeForce 9800 GT should have a price tag hovering between $229 and $279.

Not sure about a GT, but heres some info on the GTS. It comes from the same source that leaked the correct specs for the GTX, so fairly reputable : http://translate.google.com/transl [...] 118%2ehtml

Yeah, theyre doing exactly what ATI did, die shrink, new card, but of course have to one up em, then tweak a few things and use the same old arch, and new card again. Talk about milking.....
