Hi!
I get these weird artifact glitches on my X1950 Pro. But the thing is that I only get them in OpenGL apps. DirectX runs just fine without any problem.
Another weird thing is that that this only happens after I've had my computer on for a while. I guess it has to do with some kind of overheating. What more is that if I've started an OpenGL app before my card starts bugging out it will work fine for hours.
I've searched for this alot on google but I haven't found anything like it yet. Maybe you can help me?

Here is an image of what it looks like:

Try updating the drivers, see if that helps.

I've done that. Doesn't help.
I've also tried downgrading and using hacked drivers.
Then I've tried chaning all settings on the drivers but nothing helps... :C

You may need to check that your power supply can feed the 1950pro 38 amps continuous power. I couldnt find the specs for your silencer 750w.

A couple of afterthoughts. Which is the manufacturer of your card? IF its sapphire look at their forum too where many specific issues are dealt with. http://www.sapphiretech.com/en/forums/
I was looking around at comments on drivers for the x 1950 pro. Apparently the newer ati catalyst driver versions, ie 7.8 and 7.9 have had issues with x1950 pro, stay with the 7.7. Others with driver problems solved them using omega drivers. http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati.php

Is your card overclocked at all? If so try putting it back to stock speeds and see how it works.

What are your temps? I just recently replaced a x1900xtx and it would look the same after playing for extended periods of time. I ended up getting a aftermarket heatsink/fan and never had issues after.

I dont know if this is your problem but open the catalyst control center and watch your temps when it does it. My opinion is the stock coolers for these cards were subpar.

I hope youve cracked it. If not I attach a very comprehensive guide for you to check it out. Poor RAM has a similar image corruption? Heat fits with the problem starting after a time.
Hope it sorts it for you.
