DDR2 800 is OK for overclocking that processor (it will get up to 3.6 ghz without even overclocking that RAM).

I would suggest getting 2x2GB instead of only 2GB total. You can get it for less than $50. It seems a waste not to get 4GB when it is so cheap.

I have this ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231122 with an e8500 oc'd to 3.8ghz and I've been able to lower the timings to 4-4-4-12, while maintaining the 400mhz speed and only raising the voltage to 1.9. I think it's very good ram for the money.
