Hello,
i have a desktop pc with dual DVI output. I bought a DVI+audio to HDMI converter so I only have to run 1 cable to my Vizio flatscreen but I still have no sound I have an ATI Radeon HD4800 series video card

What converted did you buy, and are you sure you have it hooked up properly to audio out on the computer?

Did you check with the support of whoever made this converter?
