Hello,
can you help me fix my laptop hp pavilion dv6000 but it says the model is hp pavilioon dv6500 the audio is not working the camera is not working and the dvd rom as well i've installed the drivers from the hp site but its no use at all!! please help me..

First, go to a site like www.crucial.com and run the online scanner to check for memory on your computer. What model does it say you have ?

Then Go to HP and download drivers for that model.

i have 1gb ram, the notebook model is dv6000 but when i check it its dv6500 i tried to download the software from hp site using dv6000 and dv6500 but it dod not work at all.. i have noticed a sticker on my laptop and it says pavilion dv66336nr entertainment notebook pc so i tried downloading it as well but i dont know what to do.. under device manager i have unknown device.. i dont know how to fix it. please help me..

Designation dv6000 is a series of models, not an actual model.

If your unit was working before, and just developed these problems, do Windows system restore to date prior to errors. With all the installs you have done, hard telling what shape your system is now in.

Your sticker is probably correct. What did the scanner at crucial.com say your computer is ?
