More Information

Hi,
I yesterday put together a system using the following equipment:

Asus P5K-E Motherboard
Intel Q6600 G0
Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX (4gig RAM, DDR2, PC800)
MSI 8800GT 512mg OC
WD Raptor X 150gb
Enermax Noisetaker 425watt PS (from old system)

1) I configured the system, booted, went into BIOS, everything seemed fine. I did not overclock. All hardware was found as appropriate, RAM, speed, processor, etc.
2) I installed Win XP SP2 32-bit. After a reboot I would POST fine, then see the Windows Logo screen, and then it would turn the blue screen real fast and reboot the system itself.

I tried the following to resolve the issue with no success:
1) Run chkdsk /F
2) Run FIXBOOT through Recovery mode
3) Reinstall Windows

I can get into Windows with Safe Boot, but with regular boot Windows gives me the blue screen and restart about 70% of the time. The other 30% of the time I get in just fine. Once in I tried running stress tests, etc, no problems at all.

What would be the culprit here? The memory, the video card, the motherboard? Any help is appreciated.

Kind regards!
