Hi, I've got all the components for a new build arriving today except for the Intel E8400 processor which I understand there are some shortages for. I was hoping anyone could point me in the direction of somewhere that has it in stock in the U.K or E.U. The only place I have found is overclockers.co.uk but they are charging almost £50 extra which is just too much.

Hi,

I ordered mine from Novatech.co.uk on Friday and received the CPU on Tuesday. It cost £140.
Now I need to wait for my other components to arrive :)

They probably pulled them due to the temp sensor issue.

I imagine quite a few people are probably taking them back for a replacement.

I'm not so sure, I don't think that is really an issue of the size some people are making it out to be. Most people who have gotten hold of it seem to be pretty happy!

It's only an issue for the overclockers. Reporting the temps incorrectly is different than the CPU having the wrong temps.

Fry's has some in store for $240, including tax.
