Hi,

I have seen the recent review the heatsinks, are tom's recommend the Xigmatek HDT-S1283!

I currently have the Arctic Cool Freezer 7 Pro and are getting idleing temps in the region of 33-40 with a Q6600.

I was wondering if anyone actrulley has this cooler and give me there verdict!

Sorry if some one else has already posted a thread on this!

I will be overclocking!

kkthanksbye

I have the s128 and I love it!  So far, i've gotten my e6400 up to 3.0ghz and I could probably go further while staying under 60C (@3.0ghz I have 57C max).  VERY good cooler for the price!

What's the full load temperature? If it's within acceptable limits, you might as well keep the current cooler. While not among the best, it's still very good.

Dagger, as usual, is correct.  The Xiggy is a better cooler but do you really need it?

no point going from the ACF7 to the Xig.  it would be mabe 1-2 degree difference.

so ask yourself is 1-3 degrees worth another 26-36 bucks?  if you had a stock cooler it would be a no brainer.

well i soon sorted out the idling temps, running a q6600 with a vcore of 1.18 @ 3ghz.

Temps seem to be 50,51,47,48 runing prime95,

Im seeing how far i can push that vcore down!

In cpu-z it reads im only using at vcore of 1.112, ill just see how far down this bad boy can go!

That's impressive, but how many hours prime95 stable? It should hold for 12+hrs for small fft.
