More Information

I have a Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G motherboard and a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Brisbane 2.6GHz BE CPU.
I have read Tom's article on increasing the multiplier by 15.5 mine only goes by 15 to reach 3.1 or 3.0 GHz, I have tried this but it does not work. I have went to other sites and they claim that I have to disable Cool n Quite in my Bios, I looked everywhere for this and it is not in my Bios. Can someone direct me in the right direction as to overclocking this cpu to 3.0. Like I said I tried to do this and when I ran CPUz my multiplier was still 13x and my cpu was 2.6, windows on the other hand stated I was running at 3.0.
