Hello all, I'm looking at building a speed racer PC on the cheap...don't we all have that dream eh.
Components i'm considering are

Intel Duo E4500
Gigabyte 945GCMX-S2L http://tw.giga-byte.com/Products/M [...] uctID=2669

I want to overclock the E4500 so i'm wondering if this MB will do the jobbie well, it's very cheap which makes me a little wary. Also what RAM should i pair the CPU with for a overclock upto 3Gh will DDR2 800 do the job?

Many thanks

You might want to wait for the E5200 to come out, which is the 45nm revision of the E4600, which is supposed to only cost $87.
It has a huge multiplier of 12.5x and would be great for overclocking.

I doubt that the E5200 would be compatible with the board you have listed there, but I'd go with a newer board maybe a p35 or something.
