That looks like a great score to me. I can't seem to get those graphic scores with my OC 8800gts 512, did you do anything to Vista to streamline it?

Or perhaps it just because you CPU is clocked a bit higher.

What are the graphics portion of your score? OP is kind enough to post the graphics portion of his score too. So take a look.

It's strange that he got higher SM3 score than SM2 though. On default, SM2 should be higher. This usually happen when you tweak driver settings to improve score, namely increasing number of pre-rendered frames, which should increase benchmark as well as in-game performance.

I may not have the latest drivers anymore, i'll have to check that out.

Wow i never expected new drivers to make this much a difference this late in the game.

This is with Driver 169.44.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a280/Werak/3DMark06Driver16944.jpg

And to the latest 175.16.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a280/Werak/3DMark06Driver17516.jpg

With the new drivers i've set a personal best score, which is better then my previous that was at a higher OC on the CPU and GPU. I guess Nvidia is finally getting around to making the Drivers work right under Vista.

Looks like i have to update my Sig :)

Not bad.
As a comparison my sys gets ~12,000

Q6600 B3 @ 2.7Ghz
3Gb 800
8800GTS 320
P5B-D

My cpu makes up for what is now a pretty average gfx card.

That's quite a nice score for that setup. I know mine was doing about that, i think about 12,200 ish at stock.

The slight overclock is pulling its weight :)

May i ask what your score breakdown is, for comparison.

My CPU was at ~3700 at 2.6ghz and ~3850 at 2.8ghz. Does your's fall in amongst there?

Also Vista or XP?

While my overall score is much lower than yours (waiting to upgrade GPU) my CPU score is much higher at a lower clock. Q9450 @ 3.0ghz scored a 4940 CPU score. I thought that 3DMark wasn't multithreaded optimized?

That sounds about right. The Penryn runs faster clock for clock due to the better architecture then the Q6600. I was getting close to 5k for the CPU Score at a 3.45ghz OC. And 3DMark06 is Multi core optimized.

Also is that under Vista or XP?

Ah yes, you'd get a bit better score with xp. Not as many processes to run. Even so that's an impressive score.

Anyone tried out the 175.80 beta drivers? I've found the 175.70 betas the best so far, although I didn't try the WHQL 175.16 drivers, only the betas which sucked.
