Is there a way on a Gig 965P-DS3 to have the Intel CPU fan/heat sink run at 100% all the time? If so, how? Thanks.

I have a different board to you but if your BIOS is like mine there should be a section in it called "PC Health Status" or something similar.
Setting "fan speed control method" to disabled should do it.

I have the opposite problem, I have Smart fan ON, and on Auto mode, but it keeps running at 100%

Is your CPU Temp too high ? You may also check the "Smart FAN Control Mode" in your bios.

I have the same prob as sNaKeEe.

All of my settings should adjust the fan automatically. Even when the core temp is 29C, the fan is 100%.

I have the F11 BIOS on my GA-P35-DS4. I think the problem is with the later BIOS versions?

Anyone else know?

You need to set the fan control for the correct fan type. 4 pin fan is PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control which is default. Three pin fans are voltage control.

I just built my first PC in over 4 years. I did all the prebuild reading for choosing gear (that took two weeks) but haven't done a lot of reading on the software you guys are using to track temps and change setting.

I'll start my Oc reading next week. Until then, I'm running speed fan but haven't figured stuff out yet. All I know is that it's reading my core temp at 50C while surfing the net. That does not seem good.

Any thoughts?

MB: GA-P35-DS3L
CPU: Intel E2160 (stock fan+sink, no OC)

I haven't done anything else really. I just put this together last night.
